Legal Limits

In the State of Georgia, it is illegal for drivers to operate a motor vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of .08 or above.  Also, there are separate lower limits of BAC limits for under 21 drivers as well as commercial drivers.

How many drinks puts me over the legal limit?  Hard to say.  Everyone has different characteristics that could impact the number of drinks it would take to become legally impaired.  Weight, body fat percentage, and the length of time between drinks can all play a part in determining whether or not a person is drunk.  Studies have shown that with every drink your BAC could go up as much as .05 percent.   As one can see, it takes very little alcohol to become legally drunk and the risk and penalties are great.  Don't trust just anyone with your future.  Call our office today!
