Actress pleads Nolo to DUI

On August 19, 2011, actress Estella Warren plead nolo to her May 2011 DUI charge. Warren, best known for co-starring with Mark Wahlberg in the 2001 remake of the Planet of the Apes, was charged in California in May DUI, hit and run, attacking a police officer, and fleeing or escaping from a police officer. While the charge was pending the actress was required to wear a SCRAM ankle bracelet which detects alcohol consumption.

Late last week Warren entered her plea to just the DUI count, with the other counts being dismissed as part of a negotiated plea bargain Warren's DUI lawyer made with prosecutors. Her sentence included 5 years of probation and 4 months of treatment in a residential rehabilitation facility as an alternative to jail.
